Located six miles southeast of Orlando's business district in Orange County, Fla., Orlando International Airport (MCO)
is the busiest airport in Florida (by the number of passengers). This is thanks in large part to Orlando's
popularity as a tourist destination, as well as its thriving residential development and business activity.
|
The airport is a mini-hub for Delta Connection carriers, Chautauqua Airlines and Freedom Airlines. It serves as
a secondary hub for AirTran Airways. The airport is also a focus city for Delta,
Southwest and JetBlue Airways. It was visited by 34.8 million passengers in 2006, making it the 13th busiest U.S. airport.

Conveniently located within Orlando International Airport's terminal is the
446-room, AAA rated Hyatt Regency Orlando hotel. Facilities include Hemispheres and McCoy's Restaurants
and a bar, as well as 38,000 square feet of convention and meeting space.
Orlando is a world-class airport, but it is very busy.
If you're looking for alternatives, consider flying into Tampa International Airport (TPA) or Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB).
Depending on where you're heading, these may be more convenient options for you.
